Let’s paint a picture. You’ve just had the most fantastic meeting with a prospect. The meeting went amazingly well.
You talked cricket, you talked business, and you nailed the value proposition. The prospect asks you to send over
the contract. You rush back home, draft the email, attach the contract, and hit send.

A few minutes later, the prospect checks his/her phone. He/she checks the notification.

New email from: rahul_rockstar88@gmail.com

That’s the sound of your credibility bursting like a punctured tire on one of those potholes on Bengaluru’s roads.

In business, perception is reality. You may be the best architect, developer, or consultant in India. But if your
email looks like it was created when you were still in college, you are essentially telling the world that you are
still a hobbyist and not a professional.

The good news is, if you are already using a hosting plan with LiteScaler, you are already sitting on top of a
goldmine. You don’t need to spend an additional penny to use Google Workspace or Zoho right away. You can create an
unlimited number of professional, branded emails like rahul@yourcompany.com right away, absolutely free, using the
infrastructure you are already paying for.

Why the “@gmail” Era is Over for You

Before we begin with the buttons and settings, let’s discuss some reasons why you need to do this.

According to a study, customers are 9 times more likely to choose your business over another business if you use a
professional email address, as opposed to using a free service like Gmail or Yahoo. Why? Because of trust.

If I see an email like contact@litescaler.com, I know that you are a business, you own your domain, you pay your
bills, you are here to stay. But if I see an email like litescaler_official@yahoo.com, I wonder if you are running
your business from a basement, wondering if you’ll even be in business tomorrow.

And, with our infrastructure, you are not just professional, you are fast too. Not just fast in terms of website
loading times, but fast in terms of your emails as well.

Step 1: The Control Room (Accessing cPanel)

Well, first things first.

Log in to your LiteScaler Client Area.

Then navigate your active hosting service (Tejas, Rafale, or AMCA).

Then click on the “Login to cPanel” button.

And welcome to cPanel! If you are new to this place, don’t get scared by the icons. This is like the dashboard of
your car. Many buttons, but you only need a few to get going.

Step 2: Creating Your Identity

Now that we are in the cockpit, scroll down to the “Email” section. This should be at the top because, well, email is
important.

Then click on “Email Accounts.”

You should now see a list of your existing emails (probably zero). Click on the blue “+ Create” button.

Now you get to make a few decisions.

What is your “Username”? This is the pre-@ part.

Pro Tip: Don’t make it admin@. Boring! Use your name (rahul@), or departmental emails (hello@, support@, billing@).
This makes your organization look way more impressive than it really is.

Password: For goodness’ sake, please don’t use “Password123” for your password. There is a password generator
available in cPanel that you should use.

Storage Space: This is probably set to 250MB or 1GB, but since you’re on LiteScaler’s NVMe storage, you can be
generous with this one. You can set it to 5GB or “Unlimited” (just remember to keep an eye on your overall plan
limits).

Hit “Create.”

Congratulations, you’re now officially a professional.

Step 3: Accessing Your Mail (The Easy Way)

“But wait!” you say to yourself, “Do I have to log in to cPanel every time I want to check my mail?”

No, you don’t have to be that person.

The fastest way to check your mail from any browser is to use “Webmail”:

Just open your browser, type in your domain name with “webmail” appended to it like this:

yourdomain.com/webmail

Enter your new email address and password, and you’ll probably be taken to Roundcube, a no-frills email client that
looks like Gmail’s younger cousin who studied engineering in college but wants to get things done. It’s perfect for
sending out that first test email, though.

Step 4: The “Power User” Setup (Outlook & Mobile)

While webmail is good in an emergency, you’ll likely want your emails to arrive in your phone or Outlook, just like
other accounts.

This involves setting up your device to connect with the LiteScaler mail server. The secret sauce is below—the IMAP &
SMTP settings.

Return to your cPanel Email Accounts, locate your new email, and click “Connect Devices”.

You’ll see a screen with some technical-looking stuff. Don’t worry, just ignore the “Non-SSL” settings, as we’re
using the secure version. Look for the “Secure SSL/TLS Settings” box, which should look like this:

Username: rahul@yourdomain.com

Password: (The one you just created)

Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com

IMAP Port: 993

Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com

SMTP Port: 465

On your iPhone or Android device:

Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.

Choose “Other” (not Google/Yahoo).

Add the above settings.

If prompted, IMAP or POP, always choose IMAP.

Why? Because IMAP syncs all your devices. If you read it on your phone, it’ll be marked as read on your laptop too.
POP, on the other hand, downloads it to one device, then deletes it from your email server. POP is like something
from the 1990s – leave it there.

Step 5: The “Deliverability” Secret (Don’t Skip This!)

You’ve set up your email. You feel like a pro now. You send out a proposal to your client, but it ends up in their
Spam Folder.

Why? Because Gmail and Outlook are paranoid. They want to see proof that you are who you claim to be.

To fix this, you need to ensure that three things are set up in your DNS settings: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

Does that sound complicated? Well, it is automated on LiteScaler.

Go back to cPanel main dashboard

Look for “Email Deliverability”

Look for your domain, then check the status

If it says “Valid” in green, then you’re golden.

If it says “Problems Exist” (usually in red), then click “Repair”.

The system will then automatically add the necessary DNS records to ensure that Google knows that you are who you
claim to be – like showing your ID card at the club door. It says to Google, “Hey, let this email in; he’s with us!”

Conclusion: You Are Now “Open for Business”

There’s a psychological shift that occurs when you send your first email from a custom domain. Suddenly, you’re no
longer just a freelancer trying to make it work; you’re a business owner running the show.

It’s a small technical change with a massive psychological impact.

At LiteScaler, we take care of the underlying infrastructure—you get blazing fast NVMe servers, secure cPanel
hosting, and a 99.99% uptime guarantee. The rest is on you.

Go ahead. Update your LinkedIn. Print new business cards. Send that business proposal from your new ID. And enjoy the
feeling of looking like the pro you really are.
